Los tres gladiadores hicieron su entrada en la arena entre el murmullo del público, que seguía comentando el combate anterior.

The three gladiators made their way into the arena amidst the murmur of the audience, who continued commenting the previous fight.
Los combatientes se colocaron en sus puestos. El retiarius en lo alto de la plataforma y un secutor a cada lado. Solo cuando sonaron las trompetas pareció darse cuenta el público de que un nuevo grupo de gladiadores se encontraba ya en la arena, y el anfiteatro enmudeció justo antes de que comenzase el combate.

The fighters placed in their posts. The retiarius on top of the platform and a secutor on each side. Only when the trumpets sounded did the public realize that a new group of gladiators was already in the arena, and the amphitheater fell silent just before the bout began.
Los secutores comienzan a subir por la plataforma. Scorpus se mantiene alerta.

Flamma aprovecha el momento para ascender por la plataforma. Scorpus le lanza una piedra pero la bloquea con el escudo.

El secutor se lanza sobre el retiario...

...pero desde la ventaja de su posición, Scorpus le rechaza fácilmente.

Los secutores inician de nuevo el ataque, esta vez más sincronizados. Scorpus arroja una nueva roca Flamma, pero falla el tiro.

A tan corta distancia, Scorpus usa su puñal y de un rápido movimiento provoca un corte en el pecho del secutor, para acto seguido empujarle de la plataforma.

Scorpus repite la jugada y ataca a Astivus antes de que los dos secutores se acerquen demasiado...

... pero con una férrea defensa, Astivus hace retroceder a Scorpus...

...y contraataca rápidamente. Scorpus se defiende con dificultad...

...pero la situación se vuelve insostenible cuando Flamma le ataca desde el otro lado. A Scorpus solo le queda una opción...

Salta de la plataforma y se rinde. El árbitro detiene inmediatamente el combate.
