Los gladiadores que participaban en este particular combate recibían el nombre de pontiarii. Lo habitual es que un retiarius se enfrentara a dos secutores desde lo alto de la plataforma. Para compensar la inferioridad numérica el retiarius podía arrojarles piedras.

The gladiators who participated in this particular battle were called pontiarii. Typically, a retiarius faced two secutores from the top of the platform. To compensate the inferiority, the retiario could throw them stones.
Aunque ya tengo pintado un retiarius y dos secutores he pensado usar otras figuras que encajen mejor en la plataforma. He hecho una converión de secutor usando el cuerpo de un murmillo y el casco de un arbelas. Da la impresión de estar cargando cuesta arriba, protegiéndose de las piedras del retiarius.

Although I already have a painted retiarius and two secutores, I plan to use other figures that fit better on the platform. I made a secutor conversion using the body of a murmillo and the helmet of an arbelas. He looks like he´s charging up the platform, while protecting from the stones of retiarius.
